You bounce nervously in your seat, turning your head left and right. The breaths you take in are short and ragged. Your heart beats furiously and you want this moment to end as fast as possible.

         “Tch.” Levi takes your hand in his and rubs a thumb across your skin to calm you.

         “That doesn’t help,” you snap at him, looking out of the window. Your eyes follow the plane’s long wing. Shaking your head, you shut your eyes and squeeze Levi’s hand tightly. “I don’t like flying! Why do we have to go by plane? Why not something else? Train? Car? Bike?”

         Your boyfriend sighs. “Don’t be afraid, brat.”

         Between short breaths, you reply, “That’s. Easy. For. You. To. Say.”

         He chuckles softly. “Planes are the safest ways to fucking move from place to place. Like hell are we biking to the other side of the country.”

         You laugh slightly at his comment. “Yeah, I guess. But still.”

         “You should be afraid of cars though.”

         “Why?” you inquire, opening your eyes to look at Levi.

         Levi sighs. “My uncle died in a car accident…”

         Covering your mouth, you gasp silently. “I’m so sorry! You haven’t told me this before. How did it happen?”

         “A plane fell on the car.” A smirk tugs at his lips.

         Your eyes widen suddenly. “I want to get off now.”
